ACHIEVR is a Sydney-based, platform start-up, with global aspirations and a great track record. We help our clients solve their toughest training challenges by producing cutting-edge experiences using all forms of Immersive Technologies (xR), including Augmented, Mixed, & Virtual Reality (AR/MR/VR).
We’re not just another development agency. Rather we work with our clients across the entire product life-cycle from technology awareness, through to innovation, development and operationalisation of xR experiences. We do this to ensure that clients achieve true capability upskilling and compliance, drastically reduce cost, and essentially eliminate risk.
Roger Lawrence is a passionate traveller and professional technologist. He’s combining these interests as co-founder of ACHIEVR, a start-up that seeks to empower individual and organisational success through vocational training via immersive computing.
Roger’s technology career began programming mainframe computers in the 80’s and he has worked on complex IT systems in over 22 cities, on four continents. In his most recent corporate role he spent five years as CTO for Innovation at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise across Asia-Pacific and Japan. He’s a popular speaker, with national and global experience including at Microsoft TechEd, Microsoft Imagine Cup, HP TechCon, and the AIIA iAwards among others. This experience includes working as Group Manager for Developer and Platform Evangelism at Microsoft.
Roger’s 30 year professional technology career yields diverse experience across disciplines including: IT architecture, programming, security, design, project management, sales, consulting, team leadership and marketing. Capabilities crucial to building an AR/VR start-up that is literally reengineering the way we connect to information.
Roger has also worked as a professional sailor and scuba instructor. He will walk, sail, and fly, but currently his favourite mode of transport is his adventure motorcycle. He’s also a husband of 24 years with four daughters. Roger holds a Master of Systems and Network Administration from Charles Sturt University and over 30 industry certifications.
